1901Census; The only likely entry is for a Hettie Payne living at 1 Mayer View, Salford, Manchester, Lancashire;

Household consisted of:

Lillie Gregory; Boarder; Single; age 20; School Teacher.

Hettie Payne; Boarder; Single; age 23; Dressmaker.

Although this is the only likely entry in the 1901 census, it lists Hettie Payne's birthplace as Manchester (which would be incorrect). It does however put her in the right place for her marriage to John Mann in 1904.
