Obituary

Late Mr.W.Woodvine- The eldest brother of the late Mr.George Woodvien, managing director of the Sentinel (Shrewsbury) Ltd., Mr.William Woodvine, 106,Whitchurch Rioad,Harlescott, died at his home on Tuesday after a long period of ill health. He was 82.A native of Little Ness, he worked at Horsehay Works until 1914 and from 1915 until 1946, when he retired, he was employed as medical supervisor at the Sentinel. His wife, Mrs.Emma Woodvine, died 12 months ago. They celebrated their golden wedding in June, 1942 having been married by the Rev.Mr.Maulby at Doseley in 1892. Mr Woodvine was a keen member of the St.John Ambulance Brigade, being especially active during the 1914-1918 war. He was a keen gardener and took particular interest in cultivating flowers. He is survived by two sons and two daughters. the funeral was arranged to take place at the general cemetery yestereday( Friday).

To the dear memory of Emma Woodvine died Sept. 3rd.1950 aged 83 years. Also of William husband of the above died September 25th 1951 aged 82 years. "Re-united".

Also of their eldest daughter Ada Woodvine died March 16th 1964 aged 65 years.
